Eastern Coachwhip accepts food

kw53 Sep 08, 2004 12:59 PM

the hatchling male Eastern Coachwhip I posted about earlier (with pic) has started feeding voluntarily on live lizards. He has taken a fancy to Tree Lizards (Urosaurus ornatus). His first four meals were forced--a mouse tail and some defrosted pinkys, but he seems to have gotten the idea that eating is good. Next stop, scented defrosted pinks, then, dare I dream it?.......unscented fuzzies.

They are such stubborn little snots. Of course he has expensive taste. My buttermilk racer hatchling had a sweet tooth for hatchling day geckos. Good luck with the scenting.
