Hello everyone!
I am getting ready to welcome a new baby into my house, an Egyptian Uro, and move my current mali into a bigger structure. Sadly, I have determined the only way to do this will be to build my own cages, since the ones I like I cannot afford (multiple thousands of sollars), and I just dislike the other ones. This has rekindled a search I have been on for awhile. Does anyone know of any good books, literature, or resources that would explain the natural habitats of the different Uromastyx types? I would like to read up on them prior to designing and building my new lizard homes. I am used to reading research level books and journals, so don't worry about scaring me away!
Similarly, if any of you have "living room quality" cages that were reasonably priced I would love to hear about them, and where you got them/how you built them. I designed a piece of furniture to house the 2 Uros (seperately of course) but the quotes I am getting back from furniture builders are in the $3700 range and that is just not a possibility.
So, my two questions:
**1. Any resources that describe/picture natural habitats of the different Uros, specifically Malis and Aegyptius?
2. Any recommendations on nice looking, functional cages that are reasonably priced?
Thanks for your help guys! (and gals of course!)
Elizabeth
