Am I too young to breed sonoran gophers?

gophersnake13 Sep 08, 2004 05:10 PM

I have been planning this for about 2 years now and I have a deal with my parents that if I get good grades and do my chores ect. I will get a male albino sonoran gopher for a mate for my normal phase female. My female is not big enough to breed yet but she most likely will be by the end of next year. I was hoping you guys could offer a few tips or tidbits of info to me. Stuff like risks and potential problems.

Here is a link for a general How-To for breeding colubrids. Although it is not specific to Pituophis, it does outline the general steps. Gophersnakes are darn easy actually. Make sure the female is 3 yrs old or more and in great condition.
