I have made a hammock for Issey out of a rubberized fabric I found at Joann's Fabrics. I think it's normally used for scatter rugs to keep them from slipping. Anyhoo,I used some small 3M hooks ($2.84 from Michael's) to stick it to the cage walls. They are not suction but stick on. I cut out a triangle out of the rubber stuff (which I bought 1/3 yard for $1.59)and stuck it in there sticking the corner first and then the sides. I made one for my daughter's bearded dragon (saphira) and it is great to hold greens and chopped veggies and fruit on! Issey also has green on his, but so far he is unimpressed. You could also make this out of mesh fabric or burlap, but I thought their nails might get caught up in it. I don't have to worry about them chewing on this, do I? Anyway, I have enough fabric and hooks to make at least six more hammocks. That's eight for under five dollars. I am thinking of making one for my fire bellied toads so all the crickets I put in there don't drown and the frogs still have access to the water. I think my snakes would enjoy lounging in them, too!
