anyway to calm your beardie down ?

He is about 5 months and he loves to jump out of my hands and run alot.I pick him up from under his belly and not from above his head I try to handdle him at least once a day.I was wondering if there are any tricks to calm them down while holding ?thx

BD's among other lizards have what is called a "third eye", it's not really an eye for seeing visually, but it can sense heat and stuff. It's located on the top of the lizards head and looks like a single little discolored scale, but it's not it's the eye. a way to calm down your BD would to lightly press your thumb over the "third eye". NOTE: i've seen it work on sum BD's and ive seen others where there's no effect.

JUST REMEMBER TO BE GENTLE! I DON'T WANNA BE A PART OF A BEARDIE GETTING HURT!
