feeding dead crickets

dre17am Sep 08, 2004 06:29 PM

I thought that lizards didn't eat dead crickets, but mine did. Is this common?
This will make it a lot easier when I have to have a babysitter....

Well, it depends. How FRESH was this cricket? Sometimes my little ones find a recently drowned one and i give that to them and they eat it. My big one did that a few times too. If it is still very fresh, meaning still rich in color, and is still plump, then go ahead! But i think they mistake the dead ones as possible food prey.
