Oh no, a snake on the loose....

Well, its been several, several years but it finally happened. One of my new hatchlings has escaped. I looked everywhere in the room but no luck. Hopefully I will find him before one of the cats does. Wish me luck, and the snake.

My corn (only several months old at the time) escaped about 2 months ago and it took me 3 days to find him. Had he not gotten stuck on a piece of tape holding down an extension cord, who knows how long I'd have been looking. I received some advice from someone while I was looking for him. Lay a thin line of a powdery substance (eg. baking soda, cinnimon, ect.) on paper (the length of you doorways)in each doorway at night. You'll be able to tell if he entered or leaves a room. Hopefully it will give you an idea of which room he's in. Keep in mind, they are quick and like to explore. Mine was in the opposite end of the house. GOOD LUCK!!!

I had one that got out... Then I found him 3 weeks later, coiled under an unused reptile light. He snapped at me a few times, and ate right away. He was about 5 feet from where he got out. Unfortuneately, this little escape artist got out again. I am sure I will get him, I dont have any dogs, cats, etc that would go after them, and plenty of escaped crickets from my other critters to feed on if it needs to!
