Pairing Uros question.

lep Jun 25, 2003 08:43 PM

I have been thinking about getting a soul mate for Balrog, my Red Saharan male. he's about 9 inches long and i feel like he's kinda lonely. I have the opportunity to get a female uro of equal size, but i wanna know if the species matters. Do I need to get another Saharan, or could I introduce a Mali or another uro female type? Does it matter?

Your best bet is to stay with the same species. Also you may want to check around and get more info about housing them together before doing it. It could pose a problem and do you have the means available to seperate if needed in seperate tanks? The uro's are quite happy by themselves and really do not "need" any company. They are quite content being the king of their world

Good luck!
Renee
