My female snow/leucistic cross just laid about thirty infertile, incomplete eggs. Here's some background. She had been placed with one of my GG's for a few days then placed back in the cage she shares with one of my yellow males that seems more interested in food than breeding. Two weeks ago, the yellow male began digging constantly and they both virtually stopped eating (1-2 crix a day). Today, I found about thirty, tiny eggs in the lay box. The vast majority were pink or orange and soft(slugs). One looked completely shelled, but was dimpled (looked like a mini golf ball). Two looked overly calcified with a hard bubbly shell. Candling showed no veins (obviously). She is 1.5-2 years old, fat and healthy, vitamin supplemented, and this is her second clutch (the first turned out just like this). What is going on here? What am I doing wrong? I have an incubator that I'm just itching to use, so any opinions are welcome.
