I've been putting some thought into brumating my snakes. I'm curious about the types of methods you use for cooling your snakes. I know about dropping the temp slightly for a few weeks, then taking them off feed a couple weeks before the actual brumation. I live in an apartment, so I am not blessed with a basement, nor do the radical temperature changes in Colorado winters permit opening a window slightly to cool down the room like some places in the south. Here's what I have in mind: I was thinking of using my walk-in closet as a brumation room, where I would set up an A/C hooked to a thermostat set to the appropriate temperatures. Then I would put the snakes I intend to brumate in that room, each with their own tub with substrate and water bowl. Does this sound feasible? I have heard of some people using refrigerators to brumate their snakes. Is this possible? What other suggestions do you have? Any help is appreciated.
