Im sure everyones heard this one before, Baby Corn Snake just stopped eating...

I recently got a baby corn. Red Albino? I got him August 28 at an Expo type thing, "More like a flea market." The breeders I got him from said he was eating 1 pinkie every 5 days. I went on and got him for $15.I already own a Desert Phase Cal. King which I raised up from a hatchling. The 28 or August I feed him 2 small live pinkies, I was surprise he ate both and held them down fine. I waited 5 more days and did the same 2 small pinkies. The next day I went to check on him and noticed he regurgitated both still whole. I thought maybe I was giving him to much. He has not accepted anymore food since then and had a bad shed. What have I done wrong and what should I do to fix it?

Hi there. Leave at least a week before you next try to feed, to allow his stomach to recover from the regurge. Then feed only one pinkie. They're opportunist feeders in the wild, so they're quie capable of eating more than they can actually digest. It's a good sign that he ate in the first place, so hopefully there's nothing wrong overall. Five days between feeds for a hatchling is fine.

The bad shed could also indicate that maybe the temperature in his tank is a little too high, which can also cause regurging. What sort of temps do you have at the cool and wamr ends of the tank?

Also, try putting a small tub with some damp paper towel in his tank if he still has bits of the shed on him. The dampness will help him get rid of them.

Good luck - let us know how you get on.
