Such a poser, this juvenile. All I have to do is open the enclosure to trigger a few yawning gapes like this. Beats having it run and hide as soon as I enter the room, anyway. It's all show and it's actually quite a calm animal already.

The others from that clutch are just starting to stay out when I enter the room.

What a great picture! It's going to be fun to watch them grow and exhibit their own personalities. How many do you have?

A the moment I have an even dozen lace monitors in my home. Two adults, four juveniles from the first clutch (now around three months old) and six from the second clutch (two days to two weeks old), with a seventh egg still cooking. Hopefully the last one out isn't a rotten egg in this instance. Haha.. it looks fine.

They are nicely spaced in size. The hatchlings could easily be swallowed whole by the three month old juveniles and the juveniles could easily be swallowed whole by the adults. Not that I'll test this, of course.

The hatchlings will be going to good homes in a few weeks, once they are feeding and established.

Wow!... that's one incredible pic David... it's amazing how wide they can stretch their mouths open.. I've been amazed at the swallowing abilities of my smallest beccari; she takes down fat fuzzies like a champ, despite her head being smaller than the actual fuzzy!!... Cheers David... best of luck with your hatchlings... I sure am jealous...

That pic would make a good poster. You could get some printed and try selling them.
