crocodile skink shedding?

cr0cksKink Sep 09, 2004 09:12 AM

I've had a crocodile skink for about 4 months now (still a juvenile) and have yet to see him shed. Does anyone know how often these guys tend to shed? This guy is probably one of the coolest herps I've kept and I'm a little worried.
He's eating just fine; seems to prefer gut-loaded mealworms over crickets. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Mine have been shedding a lot - every few months. However, they also seem to be getting bigger - which is strange, because I thought they were full-grown mature adults (they have all of the signs). So long as you're not seeing "scaling" on the head, I wouldn't worry about it.

Oh, also try a vitamin/shed-ease spray. Mine tend to shed a few days after I use the vitamin spray on them (if it has been a few months since their last shedding).
