ONE MORE QUESTION

Any thoughts on housing males and females together after mating. After the first few times, there was a little fighting. She definitly resisted, stood her ground. He has backed off now and is not bothering her. Both are still eating fine, and she has not laid eggs yet. Is it bad to keep them together? They have grown up together. Will this jeopordize an future breeding plans, if I don't separate them?? What would be the best scenario??

I keep my male and female together. If you notice that either aren't eating or acting differently then separate them. Right before a female gets ready to lay her eggs she will stop eating so don't mistake this for her just not eating. Hope this helps you some.

Do you still get a normal amount of eggs. I've heard from a few other people that I may only get an egg here and there.

The last female I bred layed 4 clutches, and I had a male in with her at all times. So far I've gotten one clutch from this female. I wouldn't worry about it unless you see that they are not eating or acting differently.
