just got two tokays and i have them in a 50gal now. i put in about ten crickets and saw them go for them but only when they got close to my tokays. will my tokays go hunt for them because im worried that the crickets are going to hide and not be found cause there is plentey of places for them to hide. so should i just be throwing them in there or is there something else i should do. I also heard that the will eat pinkys, how often should i do that. and one more thing i have a 60 watt daytime heat lamp on doring the day and i have a 60 watt red night light for night is there anything else i need in terms of light and heat. all advice will be greatly appriciated

I put my Tokay's crickets in a tall glass container, kinda like a vase, in the corner of his tank. The gecko can climb in and out, but the crickets can't. It's worked really well. After a few feedings he figured out that he has to come at them from the top, instead of bumping his nose against the side. If you do that, make sure the container has a heavy, thick bottom so it won't tip over, and put something around the top edge (like duct tape) in case it taps against the side of the tank. I also feed him one pinky every week or two.

Good luck!
