Hello, I am planning on transferring one of my females to a different male and was wondering what the best way to do this was? She is laying eggs every 30 days, and is about mid cycle right now. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi Dan,
I have simply moved a female into a new enclosure and always without incident. The newcomer lies low for a few days getting the lay of the land, and then it seems all is well. Cresties seem to tolerate this better than some geckos. Good luck!

After reading your question, the only thing I can think to add is the determination of the male responsible for the next few clutches (Though that may not be of any concern for you).
If she’s laying eggs with cyclical regularity, then the next few clutches could certainly represent the male she is with now, not necessarily the new cage mate. The best thing to do would be allowing her solitude until she stops laying eggs every month. Then introducing her to a new male, with assurance the new offspring represent his genetic input.
Again, only if this something you care about – other wise toss her in with the new male friend : )
