What is a good way to get my 7 month old BRB to switch to frozen thawed?? I have been trying to get him to eat for the past few weeks and he will not eat them. He finaly ate a one day old mouse pink but that is the only frozen thawed.... Any suggestions??? Thank you

Earlygrace,
...I think you should try to make gradual changes. Feed it live little mice for several meals at fairly close intervals so it gets used to eating often. Then offer it a fresh killed still warm mouse that is the same size as the live ones it has been eating. After it is eating the fresh killed ones then you should be able to switch it to frozen thawed. My little BRBs always eat best at night with minimal activity to distract them. They also like their dead prey to be very very warm. They also like their frozen thawed prey to be clean and fresh frozen rather than been in the freezer 6 months and does not smell like a mouse anymore frozen.
Good luck,
Jeff

Like Jeff said, go slow...step by step. It took several months to switch 5 over. Some were easier than others. The fist meal I offered the new Mom after her big day switched her in that one meal (I took full advantage of her hunger). I've found, in my limited experience, that some prefer warmer than others. Some like a little "dancing" with their meal, and one likes a slow drag. The last one just wants it NOW! I think my main problem was that I expected the switch to be less work on my part than it turned out to be. Give it little while longer..before you know it f/t will be eagerly accepted.
