a question about ATB's......

lilroach56 Sep 09, 2004 06:16 PM

do ATB's curl up on the tree real cool like GTP's and ETB's?
also would it be possible to get a "youngin" at this time of year? (well started, at least 3-4 months)

My ATB assumes a variety of poses - one being the traditional ETB/GTP perch. She's very active about the tank sometimes spening short periods of time on the ground but always rests on one of her perches.

I haven't looked into breeding them yet so I'm not sure. I have talked to some breeders who expect their females to drop this month and next so I think the Fall is the season. Not sure on that one.

If you're patient there are some good breeders out there expecting some nice litters. I'm on the the waiting list at www.dmexotics.com for one of his red ones. I would stay away from Wild Caught.

Hope this helps.

Can you give me a site that has good information on caging? i know about finegtps.com, but i remember there being a few more.

also, what are some typically availbable color phases and their cost?

Prices very but you can get a nice fancy ATB for about $120 with garden phase cheaper than that. Again, stay away from Wild Caught to avoid the hassles. Once you start getting into Reds and Halloweens things can get expensive so I wouldn't start with one of those.

I can't think of any websites off hand.

Mine does great in a 3x2x2 with a jungle gym and hides on either side. Humidity is 70% with levels rising near 100% when shedding. Heat range is from 78-88. I use heat tape on the bottom and a ceramic heater from above. She eats like a champ and I handle her nearly every day. Consequently she is fairly tame (I can't remember the last time I was bitten - knock on wood.)
