My rosy won't take mice that have been gassed, so we have been buying mice from the pet store, killing them and freezing them ourselves. How long do they need to be frozen to eliminate/decrease the chances of parasites being passed? I trust our source to be clean for the most part, but I don't want to take any chances since she will take them after being frozen. Alternately- does anyone know of a supplier that HUMANELY kills their mice without using CO2? (I doubt it since no other way works well for large amounts of rodents at a time).
