50 days today, and one egg appears to be dimpling, on the bottom?

reptichik Sep 10, 2004 08:01 AM

I moved some of the perlite to take a look at the bottom, as some are appearing to deflate. Should they be dimpling on the bottom? Can the babies hatch out of the bottom of the egg? This is my first time, so sorry if the question sounds stupid. Any input would be appreciated. I did up the humidity a bit, with water in a syringe, I put it on the perlite, not the eggs. Thanks!

The eggs should not be be dimpling on the bottom like you described. This is a sign that either the eggs are bad or they're not getting enough moisture. Sounds like you're doing the right thing about adding water. Hopefully you caught this earlier enough. If the eggs are really caved in on the bottom they may not be savable. Keep us posted.
