2 pacmans in one tank

clmeyers Sep 10, 2004 02:01 PM

is it possible to place 2 pacmans in the same 20 gallon tank. I purchased them as a breeding pair and they are exactly the same size about 4". the tank has a divider in the middle of it right now, just seems there would be alot more room for the both of them without the divider in middle. any suggestions will help.

I would suggest you read more on the species. They are highly cannibalistic. If you purchased them as a breeding pair, be careful and do not become too attached. Remember that breeding is very hard on Ceratophrys and a breeder should not be a "pet." Good luck.

not long ago i put two together from a lack of tanks and the smaller one disappeared. the difference in size was 1/2 inch. the large one was about 3.5". If you want to breed them, eventually you will need to put them together during the right time. an abundant supply of feeders are necessary when putting them together.
