I am what you would all consider new to the Venomous hobby however that does not mean that I have not done my research and thought long and hard aboput the facts as they present themselves. My first Venomous was a year ago with a CB '03 Cerastes cerastes neonate that was not eating and I got it eating and while it successfully ate three times (1st on parts and the last two times on day old pinks) it promptly died to my heart break. I have since moved to belive it would be better for me to get a NA Crotalus sp. for ease of feeding as well as supply of AV. I was first looking at Crotalus Mollusus but then that fell apart due to I could find the AZ locale I wanted, after I couldn't find C. ruber in a CB '03 or '04 I then thought about C. lepidus but can't find CB'04 neonates So my inclination is to move next to CB'04 C. horridus and CB'04 Sistrurus miliarius barbouri (canebrake and Dusky pygmy Rattlesnake) respectivly
I cannot gather general data to my satisfaction about the Canebrake and all I know is that it gets between 36-72" which is quite a span, can someone clear up what the general length is as an adult as well as temperment, I would most appreciate it as well as any thought on these two perticular species with regaurd to what I have just said, these two being my first NA pit vipers and all
Many thanks
Sincerly

(sorry for the long rant)
