Does anyone know of a good detailed book regarding Pituophis? I am looking for a book detailing the various sub-species, ranges and decent pictures of the various species.
Thanks,
Chad

Hello Chad,
I think, this book we all search...
Excelent newer sources for some local details are f.e. Grismers Baja California book of 2002 - But only for the Baja area. Steward collected a lot informations in his "Snakes of North America" (I think this was the title).
But those books are very expensive and only a few pages are about Pituophis... Mara helps a little in the begining of the theme.
So I trie to get many (all
) important Pituophis related herpetological copies and antiquriat books (Klauber, Stull, Vandenbergh...)
My list of books is here (but not actual, I got a little new antiquariat and copies from Herpetological Review a.s.o.:
http://www.pinesnake.de/english/buecher.html
On my homepage I selected many (not all
) details about the Pituophis - for the beginning it is a good overview. (too in English)

I wait for this book too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe someone other can help us
Would, please, some one start to write a good and complete book about Pituophis !
LOL
