What is a "Blue" anole?

CollardGuy Sep 10, 2004 06:22 PM

I have seen that refered to several times on this forum, is it a color phase of the species: Anolis Carolinis, or is it another species? I saw a picture of one and it looked like a cross between a Green Anole and a Crested Anole.

I know the blue fronted anole is Anolis Allisoni.

Yeah, I saw some pics of those yesterday. Blue fronted anoles look awesome. (But I think almost all blue lizards are awesome.)

There is also such a thing as a blue phase green anole (a. carolinensis), though I've not seen one or even a picture of one that I can think of.

Blue anole=Anolis roquet(well most of the time, thats the thing with common names).
Blue phase anoles? Possibly, or exotic species are invading florida, or both.
