I have a female green anole about 3" svl. She is in a 10 gallon aquarium, with a Zoo Med Daylight Blue UVA bulb, 40 watt. She has three little Kentia palms, a small ficus, and a basking stick allowing her to bask. Two problems: One is that she sits under the basking light almost all day, with a tan to dark brown coloration. Does this mean that it is not warm enough? it is about 75 in one end, 85 at the other end, with a basking spot of about 90-95. The other problem is that she hasn't eaten any crickets lately. I fed her some mealworms, so she has eaten something. Is she just bored? If it isn't just boredom with crickets what else could it be? She has laid 3, possibly more eggs since I got her this spring. (Two are still alive, one I found crushed under a plant.)If she is just bored I can try to feed her some grasshoppers, but I am worried.
