Nile Cage

I'm sure a message like this comes up quite often, but as I'm not accostomed to this type of forum I've only done so much searching. What I was wandering was if any keepers of Nile monitors out there could give me some hints on caging. I actually recieved the animal in May because the original owner had bought him at a recent show (thinking it was so tiny and cute) but found the little guy to be too aggressive. Since then I've had him in a 55 gallon because I have nothing else. Needless to say this guy is getting bigger but luckily a lot more calm. So can anyone give me some tips on where to go from here? I am going to get another building (those prefab sheds then insulate) within a year and am going to dedicate a large portion to this guy when he's bigger but what do I do until he's around 2 feet or so?
