changing sand

maclen Sep 11, 2004 09:35 AM

how often do you all change your sand(for those who use it). it has been a While since i have changed mine. also all i can find is the playsand that has little pebbles in it which concern me. where do you get your playsand and what is it called? i dont think i would want to spend 6 dollars for 10 lbs of sand. just seems kind of stupid to me. so please dont tell me to go get some sand from PetCo, etc.

The sand youre looking for is called playsand, you can buy it from any hardware store. You should shift the sand for pebbles, and also change the sand every 3 months at mininum.

yeah i know its playsand. but i guess what i really need to know is how small of a pebble is acceptable, because playsand is laden with them. are pebbles the size of say a fireant rolled up into a ball too big. sorry for the horrible comparison but i can not think of anything better to describe size thanks

The only way I can describe the size of the sand would be on your keyboard. The acceptabble size would be the comma sign on your keyboard since all keyboards font size are the closely the same.

If you have a lowes hardware around they have this great stuff called "Premium Playsand" its very small and very uniformed. also I have noticed it is not very dusty what so ever. you should try this stuff I like it alot and I think my BD's do too.
