Scaley_Pimp Sep 11, 2004 10:52 AM

hi. i have done all my research on water dragons and am planning on getting one tomoro at the show. i'm setting up a 20H for now, and was wondering what live plants i can put in there that it wont eat or if it does eat they wont be harmful? i read pothos are good, and also dracenae plants. thanks.....

They don't eat plants so as long as the plant has no sharp spikes or oozing sap it should be fine. A 20 gallon tank is awfully small tho, even for a baby. I started all my babies in a 55 gallon tank and they grew out of that in a hurry.

i wouldnt get any hard stimmed plants, as these are bound to break when your dragon gets older. I tend use softer stimmed bushy short of plants, and bamboo too. Ive founds that vines arent good either, they tend to get beat down by both the lizard and also the light/heat emmiters. You might stick the vines in your water though, if it has a current in it.
