We got home with two baby White's Tree frogs. We had the terrainium already set up with stale water and everything. We have a flourescent light and and undertank heater. We went to bed. The next evening I figured it was feeding time. I wasn't sure when the last time they were fed was. I had some gut loaded crix ready for consumtion by the cutest babies I had seen in a long while. I put six crickets in and one just lunged and ate well while the other one went after one and bit a leg or two off and that was it. The second one would not eat. He also did not seem as acrive as the other. He is a tad smaller then the other but looks healthy. Any ideas?

Don't worry about it. Like you said, you don't know the last time they ate, but there is another reason they probably are not eating already.

They are still shook up from being moved. My frog didn't eat for a week after I had him, of course he is a pac-frog but you see my point. Most animals do not eat well once moved from one location to another. Best thing for you to do now is don't re-arrange the tank, don't handle the frogs for a bit, don't try to feed for a few days and don't worry about it. Totally normal.

Hope that helps

First of all thank you very much for your words. It does help. What is really bothering me is.... I have a 40 gallon tank with trees and a shallow water bowl. These two White's Tree frog's are about an 1 1/2 long. Very tiny. They look lost in this tank. When I fed the crix one of them jumped right up and ate three of them very quicly while the other one actually walked away. I do understand that in the last 48 hours they have been moved. The little one didn't even make an attempt. I will rearrange the tank and try again.

PS I now understand why they say that these frogs will eat anything they can fit into their mouths after watching one eat...lol.

ya when they are moved they get all stressed out. after i got my red eyed tree frog he didnt want to eat for a few days. eventually it will calm down or the instinct of hunger will overide the stress. it should be fine.

First of all I want to thank you both for your help. He just gobbled up 3 crix so I feel better now.
