Ultrasonic Humidifier for Vivarium Setup, how to set one up?????

viper69 Sep 11, 2004 03:29 PM

I have seen and heard of people using ultrasonic humidifiers as a means of maintaing humidity for their animals. Yet I have never seen any good instructions on how to do this, and I have heard that only some models work best, even w/in the same manufacturer too. Probably due to size issues for the needed PVC pipes is my guess.

With that said..anyone know of where I can get good detailed plans on how to do this???

I have found that some sort of flexible tubing such as vacuum cleaner tubing works great. As long as the humidifier is an ultrasonic humidifier, not a hot mist humidifier, any will do. Look on eBay, you can get one for like 2 bucks plus 8 bucks shipping. Just make sure that water is the only thing thathas ever been used in it. Good Luck!
