For a long time I have been working on producing red sinaloans. But recently I worked the VP pattern into some albino nelsons. By this year I only had a somewhat abberrant albino male (not at all as nice as the babies at this link). But when I crossed him with various normal het albino females, 2 things happened.
1. The VP trait was expressed in some of the progeny of the crosses, both in the albinos and the hets. And they were very pretty. And,
2. The apparent male sex linkage of the red, or VP, trait, was broken, and I obtained equal numbers of male and female VP albinos.
This year I also have my first full double hets. I will keep working on these to see what I get. But I am very excited at some of these animals.
