Could someone please ID this snake for me?

Sorry I don't have a picture. A friend of mine in Alamogordo NM area found a pink snake with no pattern. It's very thin and about 10 or 11 inches long. The head is pink as well and it doesn't seem to have a neck (if that helps). Someone they knew thought it might be a racer or a coachwhip.

If anyone knows, could you also include what to feed it? It looks too small to eat a lizard or pinky. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
