ok now one of the rescues had puked up all the crickets i fed him yesterday....he has done it in the passed hour or so cause i just cleaned poop out of his bedding and they were not there then....could this be because of the mold? or did he just eat too much?? only gave him a dozen or so crickets yesterday, it has been about 24 hours or so since he ate them, and he pooped this morning so i dont think he is blocked.....any ideas??

I would geuss that because he hasnt eaten in a while and suddenly eating to his hearts content caused his stomach to get upset, therefore the vomit comes. I would start him SLOW on some things, like 4-6 lg crickets or whatever and then go up from there slowly. The mold is most likely only external (although it could be MILDEW..im not sure), it probably wont affect how his digestion works, but may effect his appetite etc. Try to get some pictures if you can, and also there may BE a chance if it is mildew he got it inside him...highly doubtful but i geuss always that chance. Yeah, get some pictures, take the feeding slowly, and get that little guy to the vet for some topical cream and overall inspection, along with a variety of tests. He could have many things wrong with him internally that no one can know about unless tests are run. I commend you for taking him in, and good luck! Keep us updated!

first I'll just say I read the first part and am amazed at what folks do... and how they often fail to learn what they are getting into... Ok nuff of that.

I'd say use smaller ones for now and also you may want to get some "Pro Biotics" spelling here "Acidophalas" this is a digestive enzyme that they may need some "Boosters" of added to water and even sprayed on food items.

also a good chance that the digestive track and such is all out of whak for them right now.... as you get them warm and dry and up the uV and get the digestive enzymes going you may also need to start with some of the fourmulas given for sick dragons... look around at the links on pages here or make a post asking for a link....

it's a mix of stuff like blended crickets and pedialite and other stuff thats easy to digest and loaded with protine and vitiamins...

often you can use a small meat baster to drop a bit on the nose and they will start licking it up... then just drizzle it on the toung as they try to "drink" it.

a few days or weeks of that can do a lot to build up the energy levels and help get the dragons guts working right.

as they were damp etc.. I bet they were too cold and so all body functions are in a state of "depression" right now and the change is a major shock to them... so I would expect a number of problems like this as they get better the first few weeks will be important...

I hope it goes well!

It could have been they were too big, but even if they were too big they still would have chewed them, so i think when they saw and ate the food, they were so excited the pretty much swallowed the crix whole, probably causing the beardie to vomit. Update us on how the dragon is doing.

It is a natural mold killer and comes from Austrailia. Maybe you could use it? Just an idea.

How about getting some probiotics?
I know it is for mostly dragon that have
been on antibotics.
But it is good for the stomach. And will
help the digestin process.

And I agree I think he ate too many too fast.
I was thinking that when I read your first post.
So it did not surprize me when he threw them up.

Sort of like a man in the desert with out water.
If he drinks too much it will make him sick.

If they do not have time to digest prior to the lights going out, they often puke up what they had eaten the night before. Very common!

As the others stated, start slow & build up the food intake. Also offer a probiotic.

Good luck.
