Draybar--you there?

Jimmy,

Followed your advice (below) the evening after they shed. Anery ate, but 2 Amels did not. I left them undisturbed overnight. These were F/T pinkies. I refridgerated them and offered again next night--this time brained. This morning I saw that one had not touched it and the other had regurged. Should I wait a couple of days and then offer fresh pinkies, maybe brained too? Or should I try again tonight? Don't think I'll offer day old ones again, as I'm thinking that maybe they got funky and caused the regurge? Thanks again for any advice you or anyone else cares to offer.

David

"Just wait for them to shed and then try feeding them.
They usually shed around 7 to 10 days after hatching.
Most, or should I say a lot of, people wait until after this first shed to attempt feeding.
Leave them alone until they shed and then that evening or even the following evening put the hatchling and the pinkie in a deli cup and leave them alone. I usually just put the deli cup back in the snake's box. If the pinkie hasn't been eaten within a couple of hours just leave them undisturbed overnight and check in the morning.
If this doesn't work then get back to us and we can work from there.
Don't worry yet there is time."

If they were mine I would wait a week to try again.
Next Friday or Saturday go ahead and give the anery another f/t but maybe think about trying live with the other two.
If you can't get live make sure to try fresh thawed.
I wouldn't thaw them out and then throw them in the refridgerator and try again another day. Just seems like a little too long.
Be patient, since they just had thier first sheds you will do better waiting another week then stressing them by trying to feed them too often.
I will look for a new update next weekend.

Jimmy,

I have these guys all together in one small aquarium right now. Would I be better off separating them into plastic shoeboxes at this point, even though I am feeding them separately in deli cups which are then placed back in the aquarium overnight? I had planned to separate them at 6 months or so, but wonder now if should do it sooner.

Thanks....
