bearded dragon shedding?

batman Sep 12, 2004 01:25 PM

My dragon is about 16". I put in a new bulb, a 75 watt, and he's getting bluish scells and whitish skells. Is he shedding or is it to hot for him?

Most likely they little guy is shedding. He will show you if it is too hot for him by not staying under the light. They will regulate their temps. What size cage? a 75 watt is fine for a 10 gallon, so im sure it will be alright for the other size cages. The blue scales could be a reflection from the UVB light, and just made them look blue. The whitish scales are most likely showing shedding. Keep him hydrated and give him some baths to help ease the shedding!

Good luck!
