Some newbie questions.

Buddy25 Sep 12, 2004 03:42 PM

Hey all,
I'm a newbie to the leo world and have a few questions;

-I've read you should keep calcium/or minerals in a dish in the cage. My guys just a baby,... or a juvy. Should I still keep a dish in there?

-What wattage should his heat lamp be?

-I've read,... NO SAND. Darn looks attractive lol...any ATTRACTIVE options for a substrate?

- I have a ten gallon tank, 20 gallon tank, and 29 gallon tank. I'm not buying another leo. What tank would you choose?

Thanks a million...any other random tidbits of inf owouldbe fantastic

Thanks a lot,
Steven

Yes you should always keep calcium in the tank no matter what the age is. You could use tile instead of papertowel and the "forbidden" sand. You don't need a heat lamp as long as you have a under the tank heater. Hope this helps.
