uroplatus guentheri and uroplatus sikorae

lismil Sep 12, 2004 04:23 PM

Ive never seen a uroplatus guentheri close up, and Im wondering what are the differences between a uroplatus guentheri and a uroplatus sikorae? I bought a breeding trio of uroplatus sikorae sikorae, and I already had 4 uroplatus sikorae. The three I just got are much smaller with MUCH shorter tails, and somehow although they look very similar to the mossys I have, they seem quite different also. Right now I have them all together in the same cage (its a huge 80 gallon cage with lots of hiding spots), but Im not sure if maybe I should seperate them, because maybe they are something different.

You most likely just got some young sikorae thats why they are smaller. Guentheri looks a lot different than sikorae.

the person I bought them from said he has had them, and they have been breeding for 2 years now.

Hello,
I have both guentheri and sikorae- an they do not look alike. I agree with waht was mentioned earleir- you might have some young animals.
