Peaches NEW cage....vivarium type set up.......

lilroach56 Sep 12, 2004 04:32 PM

Here is Peaches New cage that i made today.

Materials:
10 gallon aquarium (peaches is still small) that i was using
2 Bags of Franks Seed Starter soil (spaghum mosss, perlite, vermiculite, all organic)
2 things of Dimenbachia (came in one small container)
1 large thing of Neo Pothos
1 leaf of a philodendran from my grandma

Total Cost-$22

I did not use all the pothos, only around 1/5 of what i bought. I used 1 bag of the soil (the bag is 8 dry quarts) for the base and that is like 4-5" deep. Then i just put the plants in and put some water on it to compact it a little and Voila.

When you feed crickets, be sure to put them in a container that they can't get out of. I have a friend who lost a couple of babies because they choked to death on sphagnum.

In addition, the perlite and vermiculite in that soil mix could be fatal if it's ingested, even if Peaches doesn't choke on it.
