tanks to big??

reptilefreak16 Sep 12, 2004 05:59 PM

I recently switched some cages up. I put my adult male normal in a ten gallon tank and two female blizzards in his twenty gallon tank. Now the male has gotten a brighter color to him and is more active.?? Why would a shrink in cage size make him a happier gecko??

Also this is the same male that "killed" off two of my females. If anyone has any ideas on why him breeding to two of the females and evidently killing them. Why its happened and should he be pulled from future breedings.

Thanks

Smaller tanks tend to lessen the stress on leopard geckos. I have found this in multiple cases.

I find that hard to believe if you have a large amount of space used for hiding places but then im not sure. Just thought id let you know what i think.

Well you can ask anyone really who has been working with them for anytime. I am absolutely serious! Smaller spaces for juvies and even sub-adults help them do better!

Did you notice that there was a reply posted recently to the post you had before on your male?
