Today i went to the reptile show in Houston and after much diliberation decided i wanted a sulcata. This is not my first tortoise, and i do know their size potential. I also worked for the premier reptile vet in the city, and he owns two sulcatas along with many other tortoises (star, burmese mountain, texas tortoise, leopard, etc.). I aslo know a woman who has at least 40 tortoises and takes wonderful care of them. I bought the book by Russ Gurley on sulcatas and i highly reccomend it to anyone who is thinking about purcahsing one. It was the best money i ever spent, except for the tortoise who is 4 months old ang cost 50 bucks. Any tips for new keepers would be great, but please dont lecture me on size potential and diet becuase I ALREADY KNOW ABOUT THAT.
