PEWTER BOA??

BLAZEBOAS Sep 12, 2004 07:02 PM

My buddy purchased a baby nic from a importer a few days back. Even though it was in the blue he noticed the lack of red in the animal and figured it to be a type 2, So he took the chance. When it shed out he was amazed at the way it looked and not being much of a boa person he called me over to take a look at it. It was a type 2 but there was something else going on with it. The best way i can describe it is it has the waxy look of a ghost ball to it. I tried to get some pics but due to crappy lighting and an animal that just wouldnt stay still, the pics leave much to be desired and dont come close to captureing the animals true looks. I did manage to take one that comes close. although it does look like the animal has browns around the animals head this is not the case at all the animal was fed last night so i wil wait a few days and try again here is the pic opinions are welcolme

It is hard to tell from the photo. If it is a type2 that is an awesome find. I have only seen one other person post a pic of a Pewter Boa. I don't recall who it was but here is a pic of it. Sorry I can't give the proper credit to the person who posted this pic for this animal.

Please be sure to post somemore pics of it when you can.

The photo posted of the pewter boa was by Tracy Barker. The great thing about Nicaraguan boas is the great variation. Even Type 2's can look different from each other. Here is a photo of mine. Yours is a great looking snake. I would love to see more pics. I have heard of a Type 3, but you would have to ask Mike from MNR about them. Hope this helps. Chris Ginkel

I pulled this off from here because this caught my eye. It is great. I don't have the name of the person who had it. Just the pic.
