Vaseline around the edge of the enclosure at the base (that or something like bug stop) can help some. Of course it didn't do much good for the fireants when I live in Jacksonville (amazing how many ants they will sacrifice to build a bridge). Best bet to to treat outside the home and directly at where they are coming in (ant bait treatment for inside, pesticide for outside).

Describe your enclosure (is it a regular glass aquarium, or is it made of wood, and give details), and then I can probably help you from there.
Enclosure: 6x3x4 Plywood plexy front fiber glass epoxy inside.
large helix heat panel. 2x45watt floods. rhese stack, couple of hides. coconut fiber substrate, mister system.
removed coconut, cleaned inside and placed bug be gone in corners. It seemed to work as the ants beat feet after I put that stuff in the corners. waiting 24 hours and then replacing my monitor 4 month sumatran.
they be back
thanks
You should try amaxim's idea, using ant killer for inside and outside of your house. Also, caulk (house siding sealant, you can find it at just about any hardware store such as Home Depot) the outside the seams of the plywood parts of you cage together. What is the lid of your cage like (how is it attached to your cage)?
door is on cool side right side of enclosure. 2x4 with gasket insulation foam.
Sorry for the late reply. If you have the gasket around the door opening and around the door itself such that is tightly sealed when closed, the ants should not be able to get in. Just be sure to remove any food the lizard does not eat, and the ants will be discouraged. If the ants are still getting in, you should ask the employees at any place that sells fireant killer how to seal your enclosure; I'm sure that they will be able to help.
