Do Alligator lizards fight each other?

xxcolbyxx Sep 12, 2004 11:50 PM

I currently have 8 extremely fat 5 inch baby allis. I plan to get most go, but as they mature, will the fight? They all seem docile and calm now, but will this change? Would there be a problem with muliple males in a cage?

Adult males will do some fighting, but as long as there is plenty of food there shouldn't be any conflicts until they are over a year old. In my experience, when they do fight they just nip each others tails leaving bite marks, but not inflicting any real damage.

Is it such a good idea to rase them just to let them go? I dont see a problem leting healthy babbys go but tame adults???? I have to question that.
