Hi All,
I was wondering what the best investments are with only $2000-$3000... All opinions are welcome!

I'd recommend Albino's and Ghosts. Those are two Solid markets I happen to be getting into myself.

It all depends on how quick you want to earn your money back and what kind of collection you already have. If you have a couple of almost breeding age females a male pastel, a pair of het albinos, a pair of het ghosts is a def win win investment. If you are starting from scratch the pastel will probably not be that great as the prices are starting to drop to pet trade lvl. 2-3 k isn't alot to get started but i've built my collection on less than 2k and should be producing albinos next breeding season and pieds in 3-4 seasons. to me that is plenty soon enough as pieds will always hold a good value and i just can't wait to hatch out a snake with white on it. Just remember only get into projects that interest you so you won't get bored with it and give up.

2.0 het pied
1.1 het albino
1.7 normal
1.0 american pit bull terrior
1.1 damn taco dogs (ankle biters)
1.0 grey cat
a BAD dog is MADE not bred, support the American Pit Bull Terrior as the greatest breed of dogs on Earth!!!!!
I agree in respect to investing in what you like, and not totally depending on what price will hold in the long run. For myself it was between albinos and pieds, both of which I cant afford! I chose pied het males when I could have bought a het albino pair, so yeah it will take me longer to produce pieds (and yes the prices will drop) but thats what I want. Bottom line is go with what you like.

Right now pastel males are dirt cheap and the albino market should hold fairly well. With that said, in 2-3 years you will produce on average (assuming 6 egg clutch):
1 Pastel het albino Male
1 Pastel het albino Female
1 Pastel het albino m/f
1 het alb m
1 het alb f
1 het alb m/f
You now have a lot to work with or sell. I think the pastel albino will be AMAZING and the super will be even CRAZIER!
Just an idea...one of many. The ghost/albino post was good as well. Although I am now into Piebalds, I think that is a market that is coming down to prices that are similar to albinos (or slightly higher, pies just look so cool), so judge accordingly.
Super pastels will probably come down to 5-7k in 2 years.
Anywho...good luck.
