How old/big should AFTs be in order to breed safely?

Snakemother Sep 13, 2004 09:17 AM

I have a trio of fatties (kept separately). The 2 females are about as big as my adult female leopards, and the male is about 3/4 that size. But I've heard fatties get bigger than leopards? I'd like to bruminate these guys in Nov or so to prepare them for breeding after the first of the year, but certainly don't want to if they're too small to lay safely. Any and all advice and suggestions would be appreciated - I can't find much info on these guys; just a chapter or two at the back of leopard gecko books.
Thanks!

My male is 46 grams, female 58 grams... they have been mating recently and last night she laid 2 egss.

I heard the female should be at least 50 grams.
