Blood X Borneo

Blue_Fox Sep 13, 2004 11:25 AM

Hi everyone,

Here's a picture of my yellow Sumatran blood X Borneo, Little Fury. I know not everyone is really into crosses, but there were a couple of posts awhile back asking what one looked like, as well as a couple of unidentified species that people thought might be crosses, so I thought I'd post a pic of him anyway. Sorry for the crummy flash; my photographic skills are less than adequite...

I recently lost my sumatran red blood to a parasite. I've since purchased a "borneo" STP. I noticed upon inspection, there are NO scales separeating the eyes from the lip scales.. His head scales appear borneo, but I feel he's a cross... He's a real nice dark oxblood color, and is lined with dorsal spots. A very clear snake with defined markings. I think he's shedding now as he's turned a very dark color, and has not eaten in awhile. I didn't notice the "blue" eyes, but he seems almost ready. I'm really partial to bloods, maylasian, banka, or sumatran, but had to have this guy. I considered a BCI, as their husbandry is easier and there are MANY beauties to be had here, but I had to stick with the bloods! Just my kind of snake... I feel they have MORE personality than most think, it just takes awhile to come out. You really have to have a keen sense of what's going on with them though.I hope he sheds soon so he eats again. He's a slow starter as my last one was. I'll get him down though!
I'm not partial to cross breeding but this one takes the cake!
I'll have pics after he eats a few meals...

Hey Ax,
Very cool! I wish you luck with the new acquisition. I want to see pictures of it; sounds like it is a beauty. Well, nice to see you here too.
