Female Jackson Cham

jkunnen Sep 13, 2004 02:26 PM

I bought a male and female jackson two weeks ago. The very next day the male was dead. After reading and reading I have learned that they should not be together. However, they came from a cage with at least 10 in there. Regardless, the female is alive, drinking water and moving. However, two days ago, I notice her feces has a dark part a white part, and in the white part was reddish like dots. TOday, she had a feces with a white part and only red. What is that? I also have few other questions...
When I mist her, is tap water ok?

normal feces has a dark part (exoskeletons and stuff from insects) and the white urate (kida like "chameleon pee" but in a more solid state. the red is probally something bad. maybe parasites, bleeding, or an infection. i would get a fecal. i think i remember reading something farther down talking about redness in the urate. someone said something about it may be caused from dehydration. good luck.
