Azibo, pyxie frog update....

jeff03 Sep 13, 2004 03:52 PM

Azibo is getting bigger by the day. He almost doesn't fit in his waterbowl! He would much rather sit in his waterbowl than dig a hole for some reason. He's gaining weight and more active than ever right now. Does anyone know what type of food source holds the most calcium? (Fish/pinkies?) Thanks,
-Jeff-

That is an awesome frog! I think that in the coming years, one of those will be my next frog purchase.
I avoid feeding my (horned) frog fish and mice, because fish tend to carry parasites, and mice are very fatty. I feed nightcrawler worms custed with vitamin/calcium powder, and this is keeping my frog healthy. I only use the powder about every-other feeding, though (she eats only a few times a month, because she spends much time buried, but you may want to use the powder less often since your frog probably eats more often.)

Thanks! I like your picture of Benny with the horse shoe. That's great! I was thinking the same thing; about how fish can carry many parasites if not properly cared for. I'll probably just stick with calcium suppliments for my frog. Thanks again.

Very nice frog. Looks like you have been taking very good care of him.

I fed Azibo his first pinkie today and he swallowed it down no problem! I was glad there were no problems.

Keep in touch with new updates of Goblet!
