I have a lot of hatchlings from my Milksnake Phase projects come out like that. It appears to be separate from the normal motley and/or stripe gene. It also seems like it is inherited like Aztec with no real predictability. Did any one of your adults come from Rich Z? Here is an extreme case, this one has a little bit of the striping and some other stuff. I have had some just like yours as well.

it a appears to have a normal checkered belly ,and the fem crimson was a [bleep] the C.C. was from Cunninghams Elaphe. maybe its zig zag or aztec or? are they co dominant or recessive.L8r Chris
I haven't quite figured out how it is inherited, but it appears to not be simple recessive.
