hurricane ivan and baby beardies...help

froggystyle34 Sep 13, 2004 07:47 PM

If I have to evacuate because of Ivan, and take my babies with me will the car ride hurt them or should i leave them here to ride out the storm. I am not worried about my house it was built in the 60s and is steel rebar and concrete so it aint going anywhere i am just worried about power outages. would it be better off to leave them here to ride out the storm, there light are on a timer, but no food for a couple of days how would that work out? any info is greatly appreciated.

Although it looks like Ivan is going to miss FL., I'd take them with you in some Rubbermaid containers. They'll be ok w/o UVB for a couple days, but babies do need heat and food.

Agreed, a couple of days with no food will lead to many missing toes and tails. I would bring them with you, if you are going someplace where you can take them. just bring food and a dome light with halogen bulb for heat. it is the best option.
